Exactly 109 years ago to the day on Mount Olympus there lived two gods Vulcan and Jupiter. Vulcan and Jupiter hate each other. They are always getting into arguments. They always fight for power, but one day there argument went too far when Vulcan fell in love with a goddess named Venus. Venus is the goddess of love and beauty. But when Jupiter meet Venus he instantly fell in love with her. Venus is Vulcan's wife! So when Jupiter started to like Venus, Vulcan got angry and tried to fight him. they wanted to win Venus over by showing who has the most power. Vulcan made four volcanoes erupt at once and Jupiter made eight lightning bolts shoot out at once.
They battled for 82 minutes. Saying “I’m more powerful!” “No, I’m more powerful” and so on. I could go on for 15 pages because they went on for 15 hours but I’m not going to. Eventually they got so heated and there powers collided. Vulcan’s lava met Jupiter’s lightning and they shot up into the sky. When they collided they made volcanic lightning. Venus was so scared she started to cry because she loved both of these men. It spewed all over Litochoro. It killed 217 of the townspeople. And 108 animals such as jackls and deer. Jupiter ran over to Venus grabbed her and ran off. Venus fought to get away from him, but he had such a strong grip.
Then, Vulcan got really angry with Jupiter for doing that. So they got into another fight! When Vulcan started running after them, when he realized that Jupiter was going to fast for him to catch up. He gave up and realized Venus was still where they started running from. So Vulcan quickly ran back to her. Jupiter kept running in fear. He didn’t know that Vulcan ceased from chasing him until he was millions of miles away.
They ran and just kept running until they reached a new town called Argos, where they thought they were safe. They had a little something to eat, as much as they could afford. They took a little rest and when they woke up they realized that the sky had turned red and looked like a volcano in the sky. Venus took a nap but Venus could not fall asleep, she kept thinking about Jupiter and if he was still running after her. As soon as she started to doze off she heard the sound of Jupiter’s voice.They ran again and the town’s people caught Jupiter and took him into holding.
So, Vulcan and Venus stayed married. They lived far far away from Jupiter. So much so that it would take millions of years to get there. And there was a forcefield that if Jupiter did get there then he would be shot away to where he was no longer on Mount Olympus. Venus and Vulcan had a son named Cupid. Although randomly when Jupiter tried to use his powers Vulcan would use his powers to scare him that phenomenon is called Volcanic Lightning.
